Series of mixed technique artworks about the relationship between emotions and sea

The works of the series “Carte Blanche” have a more conceptual approach: they deal with the relationship between seascape and emotions in a more analytical way, almost as if they wanted to dissect the sea to create a new emotional cartography.

The title of the series (from the French ‘white paper’) refers to the artist’s primary condition of freedom of expression. With this spirit Cristina Sammarco deepens her continuous research on the sea, investigating new expressive means, including embroidery, graphics and plastic art.
